BioHere I am, post-partum Japan, trying to figure stuff out. I was an Engrish Conversation teacher for almost three years in Hiroshima, and am about to embark on another adventure, in my native-- yet estranged-- Newfoundland, to get the piece of paper that will make me a "real" live teacher. I am bracing for a whole 'nother kind of culture shock, and holding on to the chance to reconnect with my family and more importantly, my roots, before I start a family and roots of my own.
